EL ARTE: UNIFICADOR DE COMUNIDADES
Project selected and financed by "Fondo Municipal de las Artes" of the city of Bahía Blanca, Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Type of exhibition: photographic installation. Polaroid photographs 9x11
Art: Unifying Communities is a photographic installation that explores art as a powerful connecting force within communities. Through creative expression, individuals relate to each other, shape their environment, and find new meaning in the realities in which they live. In these spaces, art becomes a catalyst for socialization, integration and a shared sense of identity.
This project was born out of a desire to raise awareness of artistic spaces and practices in the city, places where art builds bridges and fosters inclusive creative communities. At the same time, it shows how art, in all its forms, can help recover individual and collective histories. Through symbolic recovery and storytelling, art enables people to shape their own narratives and produce meaning from lived experience.
The work is based on the principles of community art, where audience participation is essential to the work itself. It is through this interaction that the idea of art as a unifying force comes to life. Portraits, places and the emotions of those experiencing the installation come together in the same space and time, connecting diverse social groups through shared artistic expression.
